Is an African adventure and going on Safari on your bucket list? It has been an interest of ours for years and we finally were able to put plans together and recently completed an outstanding experience, truly the “trip of a lifetime” with Hosted Africa, organised and personally hosted by Ronnie and Dee Pitcher. Every detail was addressed from being met at Johannesburg airport to being returned to the airport for our flight home on May 17th. Everything was done for us. We have travelled extensively and it was so nice to sit back and leave the planning and execution to others. People have asked us if we felt “safe” in Africa. Absolutely. Would we have undertaken such a trip on our own? No way. The relationships with the suppliers that Ronnie and Dee have built up over the years became very evident in the way we were treated and how smoothly everything went. Our group of 16 were warmly greeted in each lodge and hotel and not only treated well but entertained too!
Our main interest, like so many others, was seeing the animals up close and personal and we weren’t disappointed! So many special moments on the game drives, thanks to the guides and spotters. We have so many photos …… added to constantly since every drive seemed to involve something new!
Our accommodation, meals and transportation were top notch. The only complaint was that we were wined and dined to such an extent that we both came home with an extra few pounds!
